Research for the Future winners of 'Let’s Get Digital competition'!
September 5th 2017
A huge congratulations to the NIHR Clinical Research Network (NIHR CRN) Greater Manchester for winning the 2017 NIHR Let’s Get Digital competition website category for their website www.researchforthefuture.org
Research for the Future is a collaboration between the NIHR CRN, NorthWest EHealth, Greater Manchester Academic Health Science Network and Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust. Research for the Future aims to increase research participation in the Greater Manchester area by providing information about why health research is so important, how people with diabetes, heart, and respiratory conditions can get involved and participant stories from those who have taken part in past research.
Expert judge Rich Hayden, Director at Rejuvenate Digital, said:
“An exceptional website - fresh, vibrant and very well designed from a user experience perspective. Clean, clear and colourful with layout of content very well considered. Congratulations to the winner.”
Katherine Grady, Programme Development Manager at the NIHR CRN Greater Manchester, said:
“We are absolutely delighted Research for the Future won the website category of the NIHR Let’s Get Digital competition. The website was created to encourage people living with diabetes, respiratory and heart disease to participate in research opportunities across Greater Manchester and facilitate recruitment to NIHR portfolio studies. Receiving such positive feedback from the judges has been testimony to all our partner organisations who worked together to design and create the website.
Thank you to everyone who voted for us, especially our wonderful Research for the Future volunteers who, through their participation in health research, are helping discover the best ways to prevent, diagnose and manage long term conditions.”
Research for the Future was one of five shortlisted entries, all of which were reviewed by an expert judging panel and subject to a public vote.
If you live within Greater Manchester and are aged over 18 and have diabetes, a respiratory condition or heart disease you can become involved in Research for the Future.
Lots of people enjoy taking part, knowing they are helping improve care and treatments for others in the future.
