NWEH CEO Jonathan Wogel Shortlisted for EY Entrepreneur of the Year™ 2026 UK

EOY Regional Finalists North Jonathan Wogel

We are proud to share that our CEO, Jonathan, has been named a regional finalist for the EY Entrepreneur of the Year™ 2026 UK programme.

About the awards

The EY Entrepreneur of the Year™ programme is recognised globally as one of the most respected programmes celebrating entrepreneurial leadership, the awards highlight founders and business leaders who are driving innovation, creating long-term value, and making a meaningful contribution to the economy and society.

This year’s UK regional finalists collectively represent 90 businesses spanning consumer, financial and professional services, health and technology. Together, they employ over 20,000 people and generate combined revenues of £3.22bn, a testament to the calibre of the cohort Jonathan has been selected alongside.

A Rigorous Selection Process

Jonathan has already completed an extensive selection process to reach this stage.

The journey began with a nomination from the EY team, followed by a detailed written submission outlining NWEH’s growth, vision and impact. From there, finalists took part in a series of networking events and meetings with fellow entrepreneurs before progressing to a two-hour panel interview with representatives from EY and headline sponsor Julius Baer International.

The final stage of the regional process involved a video submission showcasing NWEH, our work in real-world evidence, and the wider impact being created through collaboration with healthcare organisations, sponsors, clinicians and partners.

What happens next?

The programme now moves into the next stage of judging, with the UK finalists announced in October. Ten entrepreneurs will be selected to progress to the UK final, with the overall UK winner announced at the celebration dinner in November.

A Reflection of the Entire NWEH Team

Jonathan has been recognised specifically for leading NWEH through a period of real transformation, with a clear focus on building long-term capability in real-world evidence. That focus is not incidental, it is the result of deliberate decisions, a committed team, and meaningful partnerships with the clinicians and organisations we work alongside every day.

This recognition belongs as much to them as it does to Jonathan. It reflects our sponsors and partners, the people who make up NWEH, and the collective belief that the work we are doing genuinely matters.

We are delighted for Jonathan and looking forward to what comes next as the programme progresses through the year.
