Evaluating patient care and experience

FARSITE was used to rapidly recruit 4,300 patients and send 10,000 patient communications to older patients with long-term conditions.

This streamlined approach allowed the CLASSIC team to build one of the largest cohorts ever assembled to evaluate integrated care, halving the time needed for recruitment and enabling consistent patient communication across 40 GP practices. The resulting dataset not only captured patient experiences over multiple survey rounds but also supported sub-studies into health coaching and community asset use, generating valuable evidence on cost-effectiveness and quality of life improvements. CLASSIC has become a model for large-scale, population-based research and a foundation for future studies into improving coordinated care.
